Next week will mark a special time for us as we say a bittersweet goodbye and wish a happy retirement to a Broadmoor legend, Jack Gage, Director of Insurance and Incentive Sales.

Jack’s presence will certainly be missed here in the Broadmoor Sales and Conference offices. After close to 35 years with us, Jack is looking forward to the time that he’ll spend in the coming years with family and friends and enjoying the outdoors of the Colorado Rockies. He leaves behind an army of more-than-satisfied customers who have grown to know and trust Jack and consistently recognize him for all of his extremely hard work.
After previously running a Bed & Breakfast in North Georgia and graduating from Alfred University with a degree in Ceramic Engineering, Jack began working for The Broadmoor as a Bellman in the winter of 1978. He quickly moved into the Conferences department where he held a few different positions in following years. In 1994, he became our Director of Conference and Catering and in 1997 moved into the position of Director of Insurance and Incentive Sales. His dedication and long hours devoted to The Broadmoor have been met with much success and are hard not to recognize. Now who will be the first in to unlock the Sales Office doors in morning?!

Jack and some of his clients visit the summit of Pikes Peak in July.
We’re sad to see him go, but wish him the very best and hope he’ll stop by to check up on us every once and awhile.
We’ll miss you Jack!
Send him your good wishes by posting a message here on our Facebook page.

Hi, my friend! I know how much you’ll be missed, andd want you to know that I miss you too. In fact, I miss my time at the B’moor with you and all my friends. Know that you’ll be a man of leisure, don’t do anything I wouldn’t do. Just take good care of yourself and please send me a message when you get a chance. We’re still in Vegas, so come for a visit.
Love ya’, Dorothy

Thanks Jack for your friendship at work! I’ve really enjoyed my 10 1/2 years of working with you and it’s been a real honor. We shared a lot of good times didn’t we? You’ve not only left a mark on the Broadmoor but also in the hotel industry like no other!! Very proud to call you friend. May God richly bless you in this next chapter in your life.

Jack, you haven’t changed a bit!
In the short time we spent together on the Broadmoor FAM in July 2012, I can see why you will be greatly missed by both your collegues at the Broadmoor and anyone who has had the pleasure of working with you.
I wish you all the best on your retirement! Relax and enjoy!
Lance.

Jack, congratulations on your retirement. Hard to believe it was 35 years ago. I was still in Personnel in 1978 so I very likely issued that ID card to you. Enjoy your retirement and if your travels bring you back to the DC area please contact me.
